LONDON’S wave of violent stabbings continues as a young man has been stabbed to death in Hackney in London, England.
As reported by the Metropolitan Police, the emergency services were alerted to a man lying in a pool of blood after he had been stabbed in Clarence Mews shortly after 2pm today (December 5).
Officers, London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance all rushed to scene and found the man, believed to be in his early 20’s, seriously injured and suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics desperately tried to save him, however despite their best efforts he was pronounced dead at the scene.
As Euro Weekly News understands, a man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder where he remains in custody at a North London police station. In a statement from police a spokesperson said they are in the process of notifying the victim’s next of kin and that a post mortem examination will be held in due course.
The incident adds to the growing number of stabbings in London this year, where the Metropolitan Police have recently revealed that the number of teenagers stabbed to death in the capital has reached its highest level since 2008.
