Meeting Marbella

Recording Marbella Now.

I’ve met so many more cool people over the past few weeks that I thought it pertinent to let you know who they are so you can go check out Marbella Now – our daily English magazine TV show on RTV Marbella that helps connect our 140 plus nationalities that call Marbella ‘home.’

This week’s #MN241 we recorded in the new OWL ‘Organic with love’ in Benamara. We meet and chat with Oxana Mess, the owner of this organic food and healthy life-style hang-out space that offers a world of wonders for all ages, to complement the existing two other OWLs in Marbella and San Pedro.  OWL is now also a new #ZeroHero partner offering free soft drinks for the designated driver!

Very appropriately for recording at this health conscious venue we welcome renowned chef and author Richard Fox, together with his wife Colette.  They have come to Spain to live and to promote their new way of healthy eating and drinking, with style and with flavour according to their specific ‘Health Habit.’

We also welcome singer Wendy Halo thanks to Annabel Milnes-Smith’s introduction and a return visit from Lynda Woodin, volunteer for Age Concern with reminders about their upcoming events, eg Christmas dinner at Links on December 12… book now! Also take note that the Helpline for Age Concern Marbella San Pedro is 689 355 198.

Our CIT Marbella guest of the week is Natalia Geiger who introduces us to Transpersonal Coaching for Life and Leadership and with mental health being an important subject we also popped over to MIUC for their Psychology event held last week. We have some fascinating chats with the experts in this field who talked at the Forum, Eva Berkovic, Javier López-Ibor, Catalina Argüello Rodriguez and also with another of the speakers Stuart Ashing on his personal approach to Life Coaching NLP & Hypnotherapy.

I’m saving the interview with Roxanne Claude, specialising in treating addictions and the interview with the MIUC students who also made a presentation for next week’s #MN242 which we will be recording from the Kempinski Bahia hotel (to take advantage of their beautiful Christmas decorations and gingerbread house as the perfect backdrop!).

Last week’s show was also quite insightful with focus on all our local charities who share the same Christmas plea for more volunteers and lots of clients shopping at their shops and you can meet Hugh Elliott, our new British Ambassador to Spain in an exclusive interview.

Other guests include Raphaël Cohen as Honorary Consul to Israel in Andalucia and journalist Montse San Francisco of ‘Ladies in Golf, a magazine for ladies with swing’ which has filled a unique niche in our community and is about to hold their first golf tournament to celebrate their first year of publication.

Next week more, so watch this space and in the meanwhile, remember, no matter where you are, restaurant, bar, supermarket, watching TV… you just never know whom you are going to meet in Marbella….
