CHINESE company Xinjiang Goldwind Science and Technology has advised the Port Authority of Valencia that it is interested in becoming involved in helping it to become self-sufficient in energy.

This became known after the port’s president, Aurelio Martinez visited the China International Import Expo 2019 and spoke with Goldwin executives.

The project is at an early stage and still awaits Valencian regional government in principal approval but any tender for wind turbines at the port is expected to be worth up to €18 million.
