IN order to keep up with all new developments with regards to crime fighting, the Benalmadena Council is steadily replacing ageing vehicles used by the Local Police.

The councillor responsible for issuing tender, Sergio Torralvo has announced that he has completed the leasing of five new patrol vehicles at a cost of some €320,000 and expects to be adding a further five patrol vehicles and eight motorbikes to the fleet shortly.

To obtain these extra vehicles will cost an additional €360,000 but the council considers it important for residents of the town that their police force is as modern as possible and has the ability to attend incidents quickly and efficiently.

The Local Police force is an important organisation and is regarded as highly efficient and professional so needs to be supplied with the tools to do the job.
