A MAN has died in a tragic collision on the A-5 in Móstoles in Madrid, Spain, after being hit head on by a car travelling in the wrong direction.

As reported by the 112 emergency services, the incident occurred on Saturday evening (December 7) at KM22. After the accident was called in, paramedics and a fire crew rushed to the scene, however there was nothing that could be done to save the 32-year-old man’s life, who was killed instantly by the impact.

The driver of the vehicle travelling in the wrong direction is a 23-year-old male who was subsequently taken to the Puerta de Hierro Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

Witnesses on the scene reported heavy fog on the road at the time which may have greatly affected the visibility of the driver.
