Mallorca News Top Story: Ministry of Education to spend €3.2 million on schools in Manacor, Mallorca

THE Ministry of Education have announced their commitment to educational improvements in Manacor, Mallorca, Spain, in 2020. This will see €3.2 million spent on renovations across the municipality, where 7 primary schools and 1 secondary school have been earmarked for the work.
One of the most anticipated projects concerns the Simó Ballester Primary School, which will be expanded by closing Carrer de Lepant and connecting it to the Sementals building at a cost of €1,780,000.
Sa Torre School will also be drastically reformed at a cost of €840,000 and a further €230,000 will be spent on renovating the bathrooms at the Mossèn Alcover Institute. In addition, the Porto Cristo Institute, Mestre Pere Garau and Mitjà de Mar School will also see vast improvements made.
The Department of Education have already finalised their plans and are expected to apply for a construction license later this month to start the work next year.
