MARCIA’S Dance Centre and Stage School performed to a full house recently with Santa’s List –A Christmas Twist. The audience were treated to a diversity of dance styles, songs and musical theatre and the twists were not only of a dance variety. Santa’s nightmare revealed some rather scary skeletons, a Chinese dragon appeared on his travels and he received a multi-lingual Christmas list. A new projector at Calpe’s Casa de Cultura helped to make this show the school’s most exciting production to date. As usual, the theatre provided excellent technical support and the audience generated a wonderful atmosphere. The eventraised more than €2,000 for the Calpe and Benissa International Lions Club, which will be used to help local causes. Founder Marcia and her daughter Phaedra, the show’s choreographer and producer, thanked the behind-the-scenes volunteers, students and parents for their time and commitment. There were also special thanks for the audience whose praise and feedback made the weeks of hard work worthwhile, Marcia and Phaedra said.
