COSTA DEL SOL NEWS: Light a Light for a loved one and help Cudeca Hospice

THE Cudeca Hospice charity is celebrating its Christmas ‘Light a Light’ in memory of loved ones, on Friday, December 13 from 6 pm. 

During this celebration the traditional lighting of the lights that decorate the Cudeca Hospice Centre in Benalmadena will be carried out by the Founder & Honorary President, Joan Hunt OBE. Also there will be the chief executive and  Medical Director, Marisa Martín together with more than 300 charity candles of the volunteers, friends and employees. 

Also, there will be a visit from Father Christmas, face painting for the little ones, Christmas cake and sweets with music from the Pupils of Sunny View College Choir. Everyone is welcome to attend.

On this special evening, there will also be a charity raffle, home made cakes, and other savoury delights. Further items will be on sale such as Cudeca’s popular Christmas cards, which are hand crafted by patients and volunteers, calendars and Christmas lottery tickets. 

If you wish to light a light in memory of your loved one, you can do it at www.lightupcudeca.org for a minimum donation of €10 or at the Hospice Centre on the night of the event.  

The dedication will figure in the book ‘Light a Light’ that will be printed and displayed in the Cudeca Hospice.
