A COURT has ordered that the young man behind the wheel of a car going in the wrong direction which went headlong into another vehicle in Madrid, killing the 32-year old driver, is to be held in prison without bail.

Posting on social media about the tragic incident in the early hours of Sunday morning on the A-5 in the Mostoles district, the 112 Madrid emergency service confirmed that the driver who had been going into traffic was not very badly hurt, while the driver who had been going the correct way died from multiple injuries.
The 23-year old detainee faces one charge of homicide and two of traffic safety violations.
