A COACH in Benidorm was allegedly stolen by a “drunken” British tourist.

The vehicle, which had been stationed in a deport overnight on the outskirts of the Spanish coastal town, was taken and driven at high-speed through the Spanish town in a frenzied wrecking rampage smashing into cars and hitting a row of stationed motorbikes so hard that they are flung into houses in Benidorm.

The incident which took place around 3.30am on Sunday was finally stopped by police in the early hours that same morning.

As Euro Weekly News understands police sources confirmed yesterday (Monday) the individual behind the incident, an unnamed 27-year-old, was a British national, although officials have offered no further information on the individual’s age and what might have prompted his wrecking spree.

According to the Daily Mail, witnesses of the incident said it was “absolute madness.” The driver destroyed everything in his path as the coach was driven up three or four streets the wrong way.

It was extremely fortunate that the damage done was only material and that no-one was injured during the crazed rampage.

Separate footage showed the coach on the kerb after it was brought to a stop surrounded by several police cars.
