Benidorm mourns another gender violence victim

The town hall in Benidorm on the Costa Blanca, Spain, held a minute’s silence in memory of a 38-year-old woman who died in Vicalvaro (Madrid).
Her partner has now been remanded and accused of killing her after toxicology reports confirmed that she had been poisoned.
This latest death brought the number of the victims who have been killed this year at the hands of their partners or ex-partners to 54.
