ALTEA town hall will dedicate €12 million on infrastructure next year. Speaking at his annual Breakfast with the Press, Altea’s mayor Jaume Llinares revealed that more than €1.2 million will be spent during the secondphase of remodelling the promenade between the L’Espigo beach and the fishing port. The remaining €10 million will be used to improve infrastructure in Altea’s Old Town although the Compromis-PSOE coalition that controls the town hall will also make Alteala Vieja’s Old Quarter a priority. “We can invest this amount of cash because we have made a great deal of effort to reduce our debt since 2015,” Llinares said.“When we took there was a municipal debt of €33 million and we are finishing 2019 with €11.6 million.”
