KELVIN FLETCHER and Oti Mabuse have victoriously triumphed at this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Finale, after an epic performance that dazzled the judges and viewers at home.
The pair beat fellow finalists Emma Barton and Anton Du Beke, and Amy Dowden and Karim Zeroual to claim the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
As the news was announced, Oti burst into tears, weeping as she praised Kelvin for his hard work and dedication during the series. Speaking about her partner, she said: “I have done this show for five years and I have never ever met any celebrity who gives his heart, his soul…”, as Kelvin choked up.
She added: “If something is not working we stay in training and rehearse, and not because we wanted to win but because he genuinely loved dancing.”
Kelvin and Oti were the firm favourites to win, thanks to Oti’s vibrant personality and incredible choreography, and Kelvin’s ability to swoon many people at home with his dance moves.
This series’ finale was shaken up this year as just three pairings battled it out for the crown instead of the usual four. All three earned praise from the panel and from those glued to their screens at home as they were stunned by the celebrities’ performances.
