MUNICIPAL bylaws insist onsound-limiters and Alfaz’s Public Safety department is organising courses to familiarise Policia Local officers with them. Bars, restaurants and other establishments with music or television in Albir and Alfaz are obliged to install the devices which should comply with certain requirements. All establishments must respect established timetables and sound levels if they want to avoid being fined, said Public Safety councillor Toni Such. Understanding how the limiters work will make it easier for the Policia Local recognise possible cheating, Such explained. “From the moment that an officer carries out an inspection we want them to have all the necessary knowledge and training that will enable them to act within the law,” he explained. “Training our Policia Local officers in the use of this equipment will ultimately benefit us all,” Such said.
