A MAN armed with a hammer and three knives was the cause of great uproar in the Malaga neighbourhood of Cuidad Jardin as he allegedly threatened and intimidated passers-by in Calle Alcalde Nicolás Marato.

The incident took place last Friday evening, around 7 p.m., in Cuidad Jardín.

Emergency services were alerted of an individual carrying various weapons and intimidating passers-by in the Malaga area.

A patrol car was deployed to the area, the officers soon located a man carrying a hammer and three knives. The individual was immediately arrested, attempting to attack one of the agents in the process.

The individual was then transferred to the police station.
