ALBOX council has launched a new service designed to make it easier for local sports enthusiasts to make bookings to use municipal facilities.
Reservations and payments can now be made online via a new website.
Albox Mayor Francisco Torrecillas, Trade, Tourism and Sports Facilities councillor Virginia Saez and municipal sports expert Luis David Sanchez presented details of how www.alboxdeportes.com works.
Users simply have to select the sports court, day and time they want and with the validation of a credit card make the reservation. The same applies for the swimming courses.
The ‘Agua y Salud’ sports centre is one of the facilities included on the website, and where reservations can be made for the tennis or paddle tennis courts, for swimming lessons, open swimming sessions and aquagym. In summer it will be possible to buy tickets for the outdoor pool.
Reservations can also be made for the Las Ventas football ground and pavillion and for the Francisco Torrecillas Sanchez pavillion.
Virginia Saez revealed that within a few months a link will be added for the congress and exhibition centre, currently being worked on at the Agua y Salud.
Saez said the centre will have capacity for 1,000 and set to become the focal point for business meetings and large events in the Almanzora valley.
