Axarquia News: Life saving in Motril

A shocking reality: The most effective weapon to save a life. CREDIT: Ayuntamiento de Motril

IN RECENT years, people’s awareness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation has become such a shocking reality that many social groups have been taking part in learning techniques and training that are the most effective weapon to save a life in the event of an emergency situation.
On Tuesday, December 17, the municipal sports hall of Motril became a site showing the commitment to preventive training, oriented not only towards schoolchildren and high school graduates, but to any resident who wanted to learn something as basic as acting upon a cardiorespiratory arrest and, with it, giving a vital opportunity to the sufferer.
Councilor for Health of Motril, Susana Peña Gómez, congratulated the entire team of organizers of the day, highlighting the human and social value of such an activity “its importance is clear because it is about learning to help and at the same time giving others the choices that can help us at a crucial moment, ”said Peña.
