ADRA Mayor Manuel Cortes has signed a contract for upping the maintenance of more than 30 parks and garden zones in the town.
The €133,000 contract also covers pruning and treating trees and palms for pests around the municipality.
“Advancing in the progressive improvement on the general state of the town’s garden areas is a priority matter for this council”, the mayor commented.
Cortes explained the main focus is on the basic maintenance services and on improving green areas and plant and tree care, “not only for the image of the town, but also for this government team’s commitment to the environment.”
The additional service reinforces the daily work carried out by the municipal Parks and Gardens Area staff in order to more effectively cover a great number of areas, the local authority said.
The contract is for 10 months.
