Top News Costa Del Sol: A Young Woman Held Prisoner By Her Partner Raises The Alarm Via An E-mail To Her Father

THE FATHER of a young woman of Spanish nationality alerted the police last week that his daughter, who had not contacted him for over two days, had send an e-mail informing that she was being held against her will by her boyfriend in his house located in Marbella – Malaga.

Apart from the imprisonment, the young woman had also informed her father that she was being threatened and physically abused by her partner. That her credit cards and mobile phone had been taken from her and her only access to communicate with the outside world was via a computer.

The alleged abuser was identified by the National Police on Friday and was immediately arrested. A 33-year-old Georgian.

The arrest took place at 7:30 pm., Friday evening in Puerto Banus, Marbella. A witness recorded the arrest and then uploaded it to social media platforms. The video shows the moment when several policemen surround the vehicle in the centre of Puerto Banus and the man is detained.

The young woman was found safe and to be in good health.

In a search in the alleged aggressor’s home in Spain’s Costa del Sol, police officers confiscated a loaded firearm and computer equipment.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the man is now under investigation and was brought before the Marbella Women’s Violence Court yesterday.

In the province of Malaga there are 3,150 active cases of gender violence, of which 48 are underage victims. This total figure increases slightly with respect to last year with 52 more cases during the same period. Leonor, Gloria, María and Dana are the names of the four women allegedly murdered by their partners or ex-partners so far this year in the province.
