WORKS on two Cuevas del Almanzora water courses are due to get underway in January.
The local council said the Segura Hydrographic Confederation will be carrying out repairs on the Guazamara rambla and emergency works on the La Muleria rambla, which were made necessary by the torrential downpours in September.
In the case of the La Muleria rambla, the works featured in the confederation’s urgent emergency works and repairs plan for the province, and will include measures for the incline and the eroded bank.
Today Wednesday the Cuevas Mayor Antonio Fernandez Liria and Town Planning councillor Antonio Marquez went to visit the area where the works are due to take place, accompanied by the confederation president Mario Andres Urrea.
Referring specifically to the La Muleria the Mayor commented, “These are works much demanded by the council and by residents in these districts, and very necessary due to the problem of this zone being cut off on days with heavy rain.”
