Number of positions confirmed: Biggest offer of the decade.
THE EDUCATION Sector Board recently confirmed more than 5,300 positions will be opened in the 2020 selection of teachers, the Oposiciones, which is the biggest offer of the last decade. What has not been made public at the moment is the number of places in each specialty and in each body.
“From ANPE we always consider that public employment offers have to be as wide as possible for job stability, so we are satisfied with this call,” explains María del Amo, provincial president of ANPE.
The Oposiciones, which will be held in late June 2020, the bodies of secondary school teachers, vocational training teachers and official language schools will be cited. The unions estimate that within those 5,300 places they could also leave for workshop teachers.
Encarna de la Chica, a teaching spokesperson at UGT Malaga, laments “the lack of transparency” of the sectorial table in the presentation of the information. She added that “They only tell us that there will be more than 5,000 places but we do not know if they are going to be summoned together or alternately, we do not know anything, there are six months left and the opponents have no data, ” the UGT spokeswoman reiterates.
