SOLIDARY: The donation will bring joy to disadvantaged children
Obra Social La Caixa (The bank’s Community help association has delivered a check for €1,500 to Marbella’s Red Cross and Caritas to make sure that every underprivileged child gets a Christmas present. The Councillor for Social Rights in Marbella, Isabel Cintado, attended the event and highlighted the ‘association’s commendable work’. She added that oftentimes these associations care for the most disadvantaged when the Town Hall isn’t able to.
Pastor José López Solórzano attended the event on behalf of Caritas and explained that ‘hundreds of families will benefit from this initiative’. Meanwhile, Julián García and president of the Red Cross, pointed out that although their work takes place all throughout the year, Christmas is generally the most solidary time.
