Costa del Sol News: Malaga City announces big €844 million budget for 2020

Malaga City’s budget for 2020 reaches almost €844 million, as the government team disclosed the provisional accounts for the New Year. The document includes plans to renovate El Palo and Pedregalejo promenades.

Mayor Francisco de la Torre, and local government spokeswoman, Susana Carillo announced the budgets, which will be approved by the majority government of PP and Ciudadanos. The city’s revenues total €845.7 million, 2 per cent more than the past year and the draft budget includes €80.8 million in investments.

The Mayor was questioned by journalists about Limasa, the public cleaning service in Malaga that will receive €109 million and a new name, ‘Limpieza de Malaga’. The funds will go towards new machinery and the company is expected to be 100 per cent public before mid-2020.
