Exercise is good medicine, believe Alfaz doctors!

ALFAZ is the only Alicante province municipality where doctors will prescribe physical activity next year.
Announcing the measure during the recent meeting with local groups and associations, Vicente Arques, Alfaz’s mayor explained that the town’s Health Centre had contributed to the regional government’s guidelines for prescribing exercise along with medication.
“Thirty per cent of the local population is over 60 and since 2011 we have promoted health as a development strategy,” Arques pointed out.
