ALCÚDIA City Council have announced that construction licenses will not be granted in Bonaire in Mallorca, Spain, until the municipality meets its agreed sewerage requirements. Although Bonaire sits in a privileged coastal location in front of the Victòria estate, a damming report from the Department of Water Resources has revealed a high concentration of faecal waste in the water. The report warns that empty plots of land which border Pollença Bay have declined in their ecological state, moving from ‘very good’ in 2013 to ‘poor’ in 2019.
