THE HELIOS Almunecar hotel reopened its doors last weekend after their five-week closure to carry out renovations. Mayor of Tourism, Daniel Barbero, visited this emblematic hotel, located on the beachfront of San Cristóbal, in order to see the completed work. The project has led to improvements in the main access to the hotel itself, as well as the entrance and reception hall, swimming pool and its surroundings, next to the bar and terrace, which adds offices and changes in the control system in matters of communications, electricity and home automation, among others. All this has meant an investment that will approach one million euros, explained the man responsible for the hotel, Matías Hidalgo who also said there have been more than 90 employees working on the renovations. “A good number of these employees have come from local companies, which has made an outstanding commitment to job creation during the five weeks it lasted.”
