MAYOR of Motril, Luisa María García Chamorro, has praised local singer Javi Mota for his career and love for his roots. She said “No one has ever given anything to Javi, everything he has has been achieved with great effort and determination.” At fifteen years old, Mota left his home town to start a successful path after his performances became known throughout Motril. His jump to the national scene led to TV show Menudo and musical groups Banghra and Gypsy Teens. He has a career in musicals, combining singing, theatre and dance and currently enjoys success with his song “Iguales”.
