FIVE young people have been arrested for drug trafficking at a music festival in Costa del Sol’s Torremolinos on Christmas Day.
National Police arrested five young people for their alleged responsibility in a drug trafficking crime during the celebration of a music festival in Torremolinos.
The Spanish National Police have release a statement confirming the detention of five people, all of Spanish Nationality, aged between 27 and 34. The arrests were made after the police detected the presence of people believed to be involved in drug trafficking.
The detentions were staggered and took place in the Plaza de España and at the entrance to the municipal auditorium, as reported in the police statement.
The first arrest took place at 21:00 in Avenida del Real. The individual was a 27 year-old man seized with 7.85 grams of cocaine, five plastic wrappers containing MDMA and 175 euros in cash in his possession.
As Euro Weekly News has been informed, this first arrest was followed by another four, all drug-related.
In total, officers seized 19.86 grams of MDMA, 21 ecstasy tablets (11.98 grams), 7.85 grams of cocaine, 4.6 grams of hashish and 655 euros.
