Police arrest predator in Spain who sexually abused children and distributed their pictures in paedophile networks

THE police have arrested a 34-year-old man in Tarragona, Spain, for sexually abusing multiple children he met online and distributing their pictures on child pornography websites.

As reported by officers leading the case, the man of Spanish nationality had set up various fake profiles on social networks to build relationships with children under the age of 16. Once he gained their trust, he urged the minors to take pictures of themselves in a graphic sexual nature, where he then shared them in paedophile networks. On multiple occasions he was also able to persuade the children to meet with him, where he carried out acts of sexual abuse.

An investigation was launched after the parents of a young girl came forward to report that they had found a shocking video on their daughter’s phone showing an adult having sex with a child. The girl was then questioned and said that she had received the video from a man she had been speaking to on social media.

After specialist officers analysed the footage, they were able to identify the man as a known sexual predator. They determined that the video had been recorded at a hotel in Alicante and upon further investigation online they found more images of the same man having sexual intercourse with other children.

Once enough evidence was collected, police carried out a raid on the man’s home in Reus, where several electronic devices were taken for analysis. This uncovered a vast collection of images and videos of children in a sexual nature, where the man was dedicated to obtaining, producing and disseminating the content.

The police believe that the man has contacted hundreds of minors this year, where he either asked the children to send pictures of themselves or to meet up with him. Once with the child, he took sexually charged pictures and videos which he used as material to share with paedophiles.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the man has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in court in due course.
