Costa Blanca: Subsidised swimming for Javea residents

Jose Chulivi and Miquel Garcia, respective mayors of Javea and Benitachell, renewed the existing swimming pool agreement between both municipalities.
Under this, Javea town hall pays Benitachell €14,000 a year so that residents registered on the municipal padron pay the same rates Benitachell residents when using the neighbouring town’s covered swimming pool.
The same agreement also allows Javea’s sports department, headed by councillor Alberto Tur, to use the pool for municipal swimming club sessions and patients prescribed aquatic therapy.
