Euro Weekly News Spain: Christmas help for those in need

Councillor for Social Welfare, Alicia Laddaga Credit: Ayuntamiento de Benalmadena

WITH the help of the Puerto Deportivo, the Benalmadena Council was able to prepare and fill a large number of Christmas Hampers to give to the most needy of residents in the municipality.

This has been an ongoing project for several years which is co-ordinated by the Social Welfare department in order to ensure that those most in need are able to enjoy a little of the Christmas spirit.

An added bonus was a gift of free passes for those children who had been identified by the council from the owner of the Carousel in the port so that they could also have a little fun in the port.
