THE area around Marbella is often nicknamed Costa del Golf due to the number of golf courses in the municipality and one young Marbella golfer has certainly benefitted from the opportunity to enjoy the practise.
Álvaro Mueller-Baumgart who is aged just 17 has jumped from 601 in the amateur lists to join the top 10 and in just three months his stock has risen so high that he has become the Spanish under 18 champion, as well as winning an international tournament and coming third in the Copa del Rey.
In recognition of his splendid achievements, the mayor, Ángeles Muñoz met with him to congratulate him on his recent performances and to thank him for the positive promotion of Marbella that his success brings.
