Violence rocks Spain’s capital as man is brutally beaten and kidnapped

A SHOCKING incident has taken place in Madrid, Spain today (January 5) where a Spanish resident was brutally assaulted before being kidnapped, sending shockwaves through the capital. 

As reported by the National Police, a local resident was approached outside of his garage in the Puente de Vallecas district by a man wielding a large knife in the early hours of this morning. Threatening him with death, the man brutally assaulted the resident before forcing him into the boot of his car.

He then drove off in the stolen vehicle where it is believed that he was heading to a nearby cashpoint. However, due his erratic driving, patrolling officers in the area who were unbeknown to the crime signalled the vehicle to stop. This order was ignored by the thug, who stepped on his accelerator and drove off at great speed.

A police chase then pursued through the streets of La Atayuela and across to the Entrevías district, with three additional police vehicles being deployed in a bid to stop the driver. The car was eventually forced off the road at the Ronda del Sur, where the man was put into handcuffs.

A search of the vehicle by officers then led to the shocking discovery of the Spanish resident, who police report was badly bruised and highly distressed. Revealing his ordeal, an ambulance was called to the scene where the man was then rushed to hospital. As Euro Weekly News understands, the victim has suffered serious head injuries as a result of being thrown around in the boot of the car.
