ONCE again Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar paid a visit to Mojacar to take part in the traditional procession on the eve of Three Kings day, putting a smile on lots of local little faces.
The three Wise Men were accompanied on the parade from the village square to the multi-uses centre by the Lady of the Blue Door, the Lady of Nature, pages and nymphs.
Their royal highnesses and their helpers showered the excited youngsters in the crowd with nearly 800 kilos of sweets, cuddly toys and balls of surprises.
Mojacar Mayor Rosa Maria Cano was at the multi-uses centre to official welcome the royal guests and to accompany them to the thrones especially set up for them.
Reading the names out one-by-one, they gave a special gift to every child aged up to 11, and in theory registered as a local resident. In the end no child left the centre without a present, some 400 in all getting the opportunity to meet the Three Kings in person.
