Costa Blanca News: Magical Magi bring joy in l'Alfas del Pi

EXPECTANT: l’Alfas del Pi was excited to receive the Three Kings

Albir gracefully welcomed the Three Kings and all of their entourage, who arrived loaded down with sweets. Children couldn’t contain their excitement as the special guests took part in the parade with pomp and enthusiasm.
The fun afternoon was kicked off by ‘Rapunzel, the musical’, performed in the auditorium by the Valencian theatre company, Comedyplan. Once the show was over, the Three Kings’ Cavalcade began at the Cultural centre in l’Alfas del Pi.
Preparations were carried out by the Associació de Penyes Santíssim Crist del Bon Encert, in order to make sure that the event went smoothly. And the arrival of their Majesties went without a hitch, allowing everyone to enjoy one of the most exciting days of Spanish Christmas.
Children who hadn’t sent their letters, had the opportunity to hand deliver them personally before the parade. And Melchior, Caspar and Balthasar gave out plenty of sweets and gifts to their audience.
The three Magi travelled the most central streets in town until reaching the Church of San José. After offering gold, incense and myrrh to Baby Jesus, the Kings continued all the way to the municipal tent, where they gave out gifts and hot chocolate.
Making the parade extra memorable were La Lira Musical Society, Hazel Hiles Dance School and l’Alfas del Pi Primavera Gymnastics Club. Along with famous Disney characters who accompanied the Kings on their tour.
