AT LEAST two people have died in a fire at a home in La Hispanidad (Huelva) Spain.

A deadly fire, which broke out during the early hours of this morning, has resulted in the deaths of at least two people and several others injured, including a 16-day-old baby who is thought to be in a critical condition.

The alarm was given at 7:40 am, informing of a fire located on the fourth floor flat of Salvador Rueda Street in the Spanish city of Huelva.

According to the Health Delegate, Manuela Caro, the deceased are a 15-year-old boy and a 35-year-old woman, while a 16-day-old baby has been hospitalised in critical condition as has another individual.

The local fire brigade were deployed to the scene of the incident. As Euro Weekly News understands two firemen and two policemen have suffered burns and minor injuries from the smoke and falling debris.

Official reports indicate that 11 firefighters and four vehicles were involved in the extinction tasks. 11 people have been rescued, six of which have need hospital treatment.
