Horror in Spain’s Mallorca as 14-year-old girl is allegedly gang raped by teens

THE National Police have arrested two teenagers who are accused of taking part in a horrific gang rape of a 14-year-old girl in Mallorca, Spain.

The shocking incident is reported to have occurred on Christmas Eve (December 24), when the young girl was invited by a friend to spend the evening together in the centre of Palma with a group of boys.

The girl was then persuaded by one of the boys to accompany them back to a property in the Son Son Gotleu district. As reproved by officers working on the case it was here that she was set upon, where she was sexually assaulted and raped by five boys. She was then forced in a car and taken to another apartment in Camp Redó, where the boys continued to abuse her.

Evidently frightened and in a distressed state, the girl went to the police station the next day to reveal her terrifying ordeal. This led to the case being handed over to the National Police’s Family and Women’s Unit (UFAM), due to the age of the assailants involved.

The young girl was then taken to a hospital for a genealogical examination, where the doctor confirmed that she had suffered trauma and on their expert opinion, was the victim of a sexual assault.

As Euro Weekly News understands, the girl had said in her statement that it was just one of the boys who carried out the assault where the others watched and encouraged him. However, the National Police believe that more were involved, due to her injuries sustained, and that she may be trying to protect some of the boys that she knew.

Since the attack took place, officers have been searching for the five teenagers, and have today (January 8) confirmed to the press that two were located, arrested and charged on suspicion of sexual assault. The teenagers, both of Spanish nationality, have been remanded in custody and the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office has been informed.
