PEOPLE wanting to carry out building work and reforms worth less than €30,000 on their homes will no longer have to apply for a licence in Fuengirola once new regulations have been formally approved.
The local council has abolished the requirement in an effort to boost the town’s building trade. All that will be required is a declaration of the work to be done accompanied by a technical report. If the work affects third parties (for example neighbours) their written authorisation will be needed.
The new regulations also apply to business owners as long as there is no change in use to the property.
