THE imaginatively named sponsored event Who dares swims, has been organised by Marbella based charity Collective Calling and will take place at the San Pedro Beach on Sunday January 26.

Funds raised will be used to support and help rescue rehabilitate and reintegrate street children in Kasulu, Tanzania.

The event starts at 12 noon and expect to see a selection of swimmers including the Iron men and women of Marbella braving the cold sea alongside the Estepona Police Force, swimwear designer Virginia Macari, philanthropists Martin and Veronika Tye, a number of Marbella’s top models, fitness and sports stars and many more.

The main swimmers will aim to travel 100 metres from the beach, although anyone can take part to help raise funds via sponsorship and swim whatever length is comfortable for them.

Once the swim has finished the fun continues for spectators and competitors enjoying various stalls sponsored by a number of local eateries including Super Be Juicery, Celicioso, Pan y Mermelada and La Sala Banus.

There will be live music, DJ Fraser will be playing some tunes to get the party going and Euro Weekly News contributor Nicole King from Marbella Now TV will be there filming the event whilst Only the Few productions will be recording and producing a video of the day and Helicopteros Sanitarios will be there also on standby in case of any problems.

All are welcome to cheer on the swimmers and to find out more about the charity and what it does in Africa and Spain visit http://collectivecalling.org.
