THE XIV Fire Prevention Week is underway now in Fuengirola running until Sunday, January 19 and includes talks in schools and an open day at the fire station which will take place on Saturday January 18 from 11am to 2pm and from 5pm to 8pm.
Then on Sunday January 19 firefighters will demonstrate how they work and chat to visitors about the danger of fire from 10am to 8pm in the Plaza de España.
This annual initiative is organised by the MAPFRE Foundation and the Professional Association of Firefighters in collaboration with Fuengirola council.
The objective of this initiative is to teach families the measures that are essential to prevent a fire and how to protect themselves in the event of a fire in the home.
