HOMELESS Man In Spain Is Arrested After His Dog Attacked A Nine-Year-Old Tourist
Spanish Police has arrested a 48 year-old man of Portuguese nationality in Malaga- Spain after an incident involving the man’s dog and a young tourist.
The events took place just after midnight on New Year’s Day when a couple, together with their nine-year-old son, were walking along a main street in Malaga’s capital. It was then when the young boy was attacked by a dog causing severe injuries to the boy’s leg and arm.
According to reports from Malaga Hoy, the owner of the dog is a homeless man of Portuguese nationality and has now been arrested for the incident.
Allegedly, the man’s dog, though on a lead, wasn’t restrained by the owner and the lead itself was much longer than permitted. As reported by the local Spanish police, the boy had not approached the animal in any way and the animal, who was without a muzzle, attacked the boy unprovoked.
Police officers patrolling the area arrived swiftly to the scene when alerted by the mother. The officers were able to verify that the minor had suffered significant injuries in one leg and his right arm.
As Euro Weekly News understands, first aid was performed by health personnel in the area before the child was transferred to a hospital by ambulance.
