ALICANTE university’s Villajoyosa campus, which opened last November, has now presented its programme. Jaime Ramis, director of the new department, gave details of the 20 activities that will now be on offer and are linked to the objectives announced at the inauguration two months ago. “The campus reflects the social, cultural and economic personality of La Vila and the surrounding area, while preparing us for the challenges imposed by our changing society,”Ramis said. The programme’s lectures and activities will deal with the management of cultural and natural resources, tourism development, industrial innovation, education and health issues related to social welfare. The first meeting on, Thursday, January 16th, will be centred on the ways that Alicante University can help Villajoyosa firms and this will be followed by a lecture next Tuesday on Beach Management and New Technologies.
