BIG CHANGE: The Town Hall has announced parks will be revamped in the coming weeks.
Velez Malaga continues to work on improving the parks and green spaces in the municipality. Councillor for the Environment, Antonio Ariza, announced that parks would undergo a visible transformation in the coming weeks. In the case of Virgen del Amor park, improvements will include a new split block wall, stormwater drains and a concrete pavement area. The project also incorporates new benches and flower bushes as well as a water fountain and soil treatments. The final budget for the improvement plan in the municipality is €124,946. The Town Hall has hired 137 people to carry out the work for a further €255,455.
