SHOCKED witnesses recall the horrific moment the 41-year-old employee was doing industrial warehouse maintenance before he fell.
The victim, a 41-year-old man, a Gambian national and resident of Canovelles, was carrying out maintenance work on the roof of an industrial building before falling from a height of 12 metres.
Horrified eyewitnesses said the screams and shouts of fellow workers could be ‘heard from blocks away’ as they rushed to help aid him.
The incident occurred at around 13:30 hours yesterday afternoon. The Mossos d’Esquadra as well as two teams from the Generalitat fire brigade where deployed to the area as well as several members of the Emergency Medical System (SEM) who collaborated in the incident and certified the man’s death.
