Totalled! The Argentine star, aged 32, has written off his £170,000 Lamborghini
Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has escaped unharmed after smashing up his car in a crash near their Carrington training ground. The Argentine star, aged 32, totalled his £170,000 Lamborghini close to United’s Carrington training ground.
United’s backup keeper can be seen standing alongside his car, seemingly not suffering any lasting damage as a result of the incident. Romero, aged 32, was on the bench for United’s 2-0 defeat at Liverpool yesterday. Images after the incident show Romero’s £170,000 Lamborghini smashed up and under the roadside barrier, facing towards trees off the A6144 road.
Romero, 32, has acted as United’s back-up goalkeeper in the Premier League this season to David de Gea and is yet to feature in the top flight.
But he has played in four of United’s Europa League matches, plus three times in the League Cup and in each of their FA Cup third-round clashes against Wolves.
