MAYOR of Benalmadena, Víctor Navas; and Councillor for Education, Elena Galán, recently held a meeting with teachers Véronique Marziou, from the French Lyceum Jean Guéhenno in Fougeres; and Yolanda González, of the IES Arroyo de la Miel. During the meeting, they discussed an exchange programme that both educational centres are carrying out as part of the Erasmus Programme. Two students of the French school are gaining work experience with internships at the real estate agency I-Homes in Arroyo de la Miel for eight weeks, during which time they will live with local families.
Yolanda González, also pointed out that “Starting in March, two students of the Tourist Information course will complete their eight weeks of internships in Fougeres”.
Mayor Navas explained that “In the face of an increasingly global and competitive environment, it is essential that from the educational field the realization of professional internships at the international level be promoted.”
