SPANISH Police in León seized an aggressive dog, of an American Staffordshire breed, that had been roaming the area of Condesa de Sagasta Avenue in León, without a muzzle and no owner in sight.
The events occurred around 11:40 am on Monday, when agents were requested to assist a woman who had suffered an attack by a vicious dog who was loose in the area of Condesa de Sagasta Avenue. The agents carried out first aid on the woman before transferring her to the local health clinic, where she was treated by a professional doctor.
The agents then returned to the area in search of the dog, to find that the animal had attacked another woman and a girl as well as another dog that accompanied them at that time. The second dog suffered horrific injuries and died shortly after the incident.
The agents were also attacked by the aggressive American Staffordshire while they attempted to capture it.
The animal was taken to a clinic under the supervision of the Municipal Veterinarian and guarded by the local police.
Once the owner was located, the corresponding administrative complaints were filed by the ordinance.
