Power cut warnings for Spain’s Fuengirola From Expats Suffering Issues As Storm Sweeps Andalucia

As Storm Gloria sweeps through Andalucia residents of Fuengirola are calling our news desk to inform us of lengthy power cuts taking place.

Ronald Howells told us ” Our street keeps having the power go off for up to 50 minutes at a time now, I’ve called the electric supplier and they have said the whole of Fuengirola should be prepared for power cuts during this afternoon, they said that once they get one area up and running, then another grid area blows”

Bar owner Mark Sutherland who is trying to prepare for a burns night function said ” It’s murder, on off on off but we will get there, I have 300 Hagis to prepare for tonight but thankfully we started preparing early and the power cuts here aren’t lasting too long”

Over 60 people have called the news desk today many complaining they can’t get through to their electric suppliers by telephone.

Maggie Wilson told us “It’s a waste of time trying to get an update, you just can’t get through please let the residents of Fuengirola know this is happening as all my friends are in different areas of town and they all seemed to have suffered at some stage”
