Damage to the town’s promenades and public roads require an outlay of €235,000, revealed Javea’s mayor Jose Chulvi. The Paseo David Ferrer on the Arenal beach, which was the worst-affected of the town’s seafront promenades, needs €145,000 to return it to its original state, Chulvi said.
A further €156,635 corresponded to street lighting, road signs, street furniture, trees and rubbish bins while repairs to municipal buildings are expected to cost €48,500.
