THE National Police are investigating a complaint about the recent alleged poisoning of dogs in parks and gardens of Marbella. Apparently, substances have been deliberately left in public areas and could be ingested by pets

The residents of the area of ​​La Campana, in the district of Nueva Andalucía, have raised the alarm with regard to the appearance of poison in parks on social networks and with street signs.

The Town Council have acknowledged that, so far, there are two cases of poisoned dogs and that the matter is in the hands of police. Residents are concerned as in 2017 a similar situation occurred, which ended in the death of around a dozen dogs that ingested poison in public areas of the same town.
